Donald Trump Jr. will no longer be coming to Gainesville Monday.

Within 24 hours of its announcement, a “Make America Great Again” campaign event featuring Trump Jr., son of President Donald Trump, was indefinitely postponed after Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19 early Friday morning.

The event was initially scheduled at Shoot GTR, a gun shop and shooting range at 1610 NW 65th Place in Gainesville.

All events involving President Donald Trump’s children have been postponed, according to a statement from the campaign.

The president quarantined and was tested following a positive test from Hope Hicks, one of his senior advisors. Donald Trump Jr. recently traveled with Hicks, MSNBC reported.

Shoot GTR’s operations manager Bennett Latimer said he received confirmation from the Trump campaign that the event was postponed indefinitely.
